After having looked critically at agricultural development projects during my master's International Development Studies at Wageningen University, I've grown an interest in creative farmers who are able to realize another world through their farming practices. My ethnographic work looks at practical challenges around everyday soil care farming and I combine these insights with highly philosophical processual-relational approaches. For my PhD project, I will describe emergent affective farmer-soil relations, which may bring relevant insights for understanding how farmers become motivated for less damaging forms of agriculture.
