Hi, I'm Nadya. I love research and I would like to do it for the rest of my life. I study environmental anthropology, political ecology, sociology, and now ventured into science studies, history and philosophy. I am situated in an academic 'lineage' in which I inherited a legacy of political economy, critical approach. and scholar-activism (ever since Jun Borras supervised my master theses). At the same time, I also emphasize wonder, curiosity, a strong appreciation, and generosity in trying to understand people's creativity and why they do what they do in their context. For my PhD, I've done 1,5 years of ethnographic research within and around Gunung Leuser National Park in Aceh and North Sumatra.
