Navigating the complexity of political ontologies: the Mayan Train case

My present research focuses on the investigation of the ontological dimension of the Mayan Train case – a megaproject in Mexico part of a broader development plan in the Southeast parts of the country. My framework brings together insights from anthropology, political ecology/ontology and even philosophy to navigate the complex ontological landscape (re-)created by distinct actors, from the governmental developing agencies to the indigenous activist communities/organizations of the Yucatán Peninsula, and their interactions.
